The boxer had remained in the hospital while healing from his light wounds, representatives stated earlier on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement online that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to “recuperate at home”.

“Anthony and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two deceased friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the commissioner stated.

Remembering the Victims

Those who lost their lives were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, Joshua's trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. The official further stated that the athlete was heartbroken and deeply emotional over the tragic loss of his two close friends.”

The news of his discharge comes as the sports world offered sympathy for the fighter in the aftermath of the terrible crash.
