Comedian and author David Walliams dropped by book publisher.
Acclaimed children's author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
An official for the company stated: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was made after an investigation into reports of questionable actions directed at female individuals.
The firm did not confirm the reasons for its decision, noting: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
A Prolific Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies globally in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles combined, which features a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
