Nearly 90 Air Travels Associated to Jeffrey Epstein Reportedly Came to or from British Airfields
Analysis has found that nearly 90 flights connected to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein reportedly touched down at and left UK airfields, with some allegedly having onboard British women who allege they were victimized by the convicted sex offender.
Aviation Records Reveal Trail of Movement
These aviation records were among thousands of court documents and files made public by the estate of Jeffrey Epstein that have been disclosed over the previous twelve months. The analysis identified 87 flights connected to Epstein – including many that were hitherto undisclosed – arriving or departing from UK airports between the start of the 1990s and 2018.
Passenger Details and Post-Conviction Flights
Unidentified women were recorded among the travelers flying to and from the UK. Notably, 15 of these UK flights took place after Epstein’s 2008 conviction for procuring prostitution from a minor.
“It was ‘appalling’ that there had never been a ‘full-scale UK investigation’ into his dealings in the country,” said US lawyers acting for hundreds of Epstein victims.
UK Survivors and Legal Proceedings
Evidence from one of the British victims was instrumental in convicting Epstein’s accomplice socialite Ghislaine Maxwell of child sex-trafficking in the US in 2021. However, that individual has not received any contact by police in the UK, as stated by her Florida-based lawyer.
In a statement, the Metropolitan police indicated they had “not received any new evidence that would support restarting the probe.” They noted, “Should fresh and pertinent evidence be brought to our attention, encompassing any resulting from the disclosure of material in the US, we will evaluate it.”
Continuing Disclosure and Judicial Decisions
A bill to make public all files held by the US government in regarding Epstein passed the US Congress last month. The Department of Justice has until 19 December to comply. Hundreds of thousands of papers are projected to be released.
In a related development, a federal judge ordered last week that the department could disclose investigative materials from a sex-trafficking case against Maxwell, Epstein’s long-term associate, who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence over the allegations.
