Plane Transporting Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Windshield
A jet carrying Pete Hegseth was required to make an emergency landing in the Britain on Wednesday due to a fissure was discovered in the plane's windshield, per an official statement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.
"The jet landed based on standard procedures and everyone onboard, such as Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a press officer stated in a online announcement.
He was traveling back from a brief trip to Brussels during the flight.
This incident does not mark the first occasion that a US military aircraft transporting a senior official has encountered mechanical issues.
Earlier this year, a US Air Force plane transporting the US Secretary of State to the city in Germany was forced to turn back to Washington DC after experiencing a technical issue.
