Two men have been charged related to a luggage theft where a substance thought to be capsaicin spray resulted in harm at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two robbery charges and two counts of using a harmful chemical, as confirmed by court officials.

These accusations come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the assault occurred, two female travelers had their luggage taken after exiting a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.

A three-year-old girl was one of the people hurt in the event. Several persons required hospital care and were eventually allowed to go home.

This event – which authorities stated was not part of a series and deemed non-terroristic – resulted in disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a brief period.
